Located in the basement of the Children's Museum of Utah, the Golden Spike Model Railroad Club has assembled this spectacular display of miniature engineering. A train requires over ten minutes to make a complete circuit as it passes through a massive railroad yard, roundhouse, switches, then into the country where we find numerous trestle bridges, modern design bridges. Highly realistic mountains and details help complete the scene. It is a work-in-progress, club members are endlessly adding details to the mountains and towns. Take a moment to examine these photographs. All are clickable, including the one above, for a much larger view (1024x768 pixels for the enlargements; rather large but worth it).
