153 Photographs of the 2002 USU Homecoming Parade on Saturday, October 19,
2002. All photos copyright 2002 by Michael Gordon of Logan, Utah, U.S.A.;
but extremely generous permission is granted (details below) to use them pretty
much any way you like.
I made these photographs from 700 North Main near Angie's Restaurant, moving
southward to 500 North as the parade progressed.
If you are looking for a specific image (float, marching unit) you might
want to try using the GALLERY; it is four small photographs across and as
many down as it takes. The slide show itself is pretty simple; just
click right on the photo to go to the next. Along the way if you wish
to back up, zoom, exit, or go to the gallery, you can use the links underneath
each photograph.
All photographs by Michael Gordon
. I used a Nikon 5000 digital camera with a polarizer filter. Inkley's
Camera next to Smith's is the dealer where I purchased it -- good selection,
knowledgeable staff, not too snooty. It works well and is only a little
bit more complicated than driving your car.
As far as I am concerned, this is a public event and you can use these
photographs any way you like. This is your express permission to
display, store, archive, print, redisplay and redistribute with or without
attribution. If I didn't want you to use it, I wouldn't put it on the
web. If you somehow manage to make lots of money on it, I might be a
little miffed but I won't come after you for copyright violation.
HOWEVER, reproducing photographs of people for your commercial purposes
, or using recognizable trademarks found in these photographs, in your own
commercial advertising, has many requirements and booby-traps. Obviously,
if you see your own float, or your own company truck, you can use it without
restriction but watch out for the possibility of dragging into your usage,
the trademarks of some other company who might not want their trademarks on
the same page as yours.
Start the slide show by clicking on START below this paragraph. Each page includes in its title bar the file name of the photo itself for easier selection.
